NOTICE OF TRUSTEE VACANCY
ONE (1) REPLACEMENT TRUSTEE POSITION:
Remainder of Term: Ending December 31, 2027
BACKGROUND:
The Wikwemikong Trust Agreement is one of the obligations of the ($13 Million Dollar) Settlement Agreement signed between Wikwemikong and Canada for the Point Grondine Indian Reserve Land Claim. Therefore, on February 13, 1995, the Wikwemikong Trust Agreement was created as a long-term asset for the use and benefit of the present and future band members.
UPCOMING VACANCY:
The Wikwemikong Trust Board of Trustees are inviting Applications for Registered Wiikwemkoong Band Members who are interested in serving on the Wikwemikong Trust Board of Trustees.
TERM:
This position is to fill the remainder of an existing Trustee term. The successful applicant will begin serving immediately and the term will end December 31, 2027.
NOTE:
This is a replacement position and is separate from the two (2) regular term Trustee Positions currently posted for January 1, 2027 to December 31, 2029.
DUTIES & QUALIFICATIONS:
For Trustee duties, please refer to Article 10, of the 2010 Trust Agreement. For Trustee Qualifications, please refer to Article 7, of the 2010 Trust Agreement.
